First Bout of 2013- March 16th!

It’s almost here! The Boston Derby Dames is kicking off its 2013 season on Saturday March 16th with a doubleheader against longtime rivals Montréal at Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington, MA. You won’t want to miss this, so buy your tickets today!

Doors open at 4PM, then your Boston B Party will start the fun at 5PM with a bout against the Sexpos. Boston’s B team has been partying hard in preparation and can’t wait to skate. Watch for newcomers Artoo Detoonate, Lil Buckaroo, Elle L. Cool Jam, and Flyin’ King as they’ll be sure to aid their team in a battle the opposition won’t forget.

Then, at 7PM, your Boston Massacre all-stars take on the New Skids on the Block. Boston has been training tirelessly and laying the groundwork for this much anticipated face-off. Alongside your usual hard-hitters, new addition Craisy Dukes (formerly of Providence Roller Derby) will be suiting up in navy. This is a bout not to be missed!

“We’re really excited to be taking on our friendly rivals to the north, Montreal,” said Massacre co-captain Ginger Kid. “Our two teams have been very close over the years and the games are always fun! March will also showcase our first doubleheader featuring our two travel teams, the Massacre and B Party. We’ve taken steps over the last season or so to unify these two teams and we can’t wait to show off all of our talent in one night on the 16th!”

If you plan on attending the bout, don’t forget to donate to Boston’s travel fund! Stop by Bad Person’s COIN ROLLING booth with your loose change to support the Boston Derby Dames Travel Team. It’s the beginning of the season, and the team needs to raise a lot of money to get to their away games this year—and every penny counts! Get rid of those jars of pennies, nickels and dimes you haven’t been using, and help your Boston Massacre travel this season! Bring in the heaviest jar, and you might even win a prize.

Doors open at 4PM. Tickets are $16 for adults, $12 for kids 6-13 (under 6 free) at Brown Paper Tickets; at the door, adult tickets are $18. Your ticket gets you into both bouts and the 9PM after-party in the Fez room next door. Watch the MVP announcements while partying with your favorite skaters, fellow fans, and a live DJ.
